A Girl Captured in A Vision

She sits lost in words, a soft breeze blowing across the blue horizons. Gentle waves from turquoise seas splash onto sands as white as pearls. They bridge land and sea. The ocean waves’ soft rhythm is a calming guide, taking her into deep reflections, where dreams reside. There is a haven of a love story in the book she reads, where two people from different lands meet on the streets of Trivandrum, to fall in love, and finally consummate their love amid the exotic tropics of Malaysia.

She is a Malaysian Indian, and he is from New Delhi. He is the perfect distraction in Falling In Love With A North Indian. A free book to read on Inkitt. https://www.inkitt.com/stories/1733283. Please like, share, and leave a review, as the book is a contest entry.

Have a great weekend.

Another 100 words and more

Okay, here's another 100 words of 'anything that comes to mind' because my muse went missing, and my story can't be read because of Error 500. It is the host website's error, so I have to wait it out.

This morning at six-thirty in the a.m., when I was driving out of my residential area, I switched on the radio to hear that it was Mother's Day this Sunday, only I didn't realise it, because I didn't want to, as it was heartbreaking this year since Mom died, and I still felt the raw hurt that came with grief, but then, someone told me that time heals, which is not true in any sense, since I still grieved for Des, Jacky, Dad, and now Mom

I caught this beauty while driving back from the airport the other day as I couldn't deny it was the sunset that always mesmerised me and  I wondered if paradise was actually a place on Earth, or otherwise, why were there beautiful pictures of nature's striking images still prevalent in these times, where a part of the world was caught up in war, others in catastrophies undeniably, and then there are the sunsets and yet the sun rises every morning without a delay when we keep time haphazardly.

Here's a free book to read. Falling in Love with a North Indian will take you into the heart of Trivandrum, Kerala, for a love story. A Malaysian Malayalee goes to India to study, and meets a North Indian, and falls headlong in love with him. It is a work in progress and a rewrite. I have entered it for a contest, so please, like, share with friends and family, and review the book if you liked the story. Thank you. Have a great weekend.

An Old Fashioned Love Song

Just An Old Fashioned Love Song
Did I sing

One spring
When flowers bloomed everywhere you looked
I saw a princely image of you

And I kept that image locked in the deep recesses of my heart

I was a princess at one time
Walking along shores that stretched miles and miles
I walked barefoot and nimble
OH, the sands they tickled, and once I stumbled
over the rocks that had
been washed ashore
after years of sleeping
in ocean beds
never heard of before

Who goes there, the crustacean asked
Tickled by her sight of distress.
Look with nimble feet, does she walk lightly on our sands
The rocks, she steps on
and tumbles down to a fall
and sits there
still regal
Perhaps a Princess
Well, who knows
She's someone as pretty as dawn.

Then the seas rushed forward,
Their angel had fallen
They washed over her sandied feet
And the waves
lifted her off to their cradle
Somewhere far in the oceans bygone.

That night, the ocean waves
sang an old-fashioned love song.
