A girl took a solitary walk
along the seashores of
a distant land.
And as she walked
she trudged to where
the waves
came up to her bare feet.
As the waves gently splashed onto the brown sands
They left pretty bubbles on the hemline
and over her feet.
She thought about how the waters added
a touch of nostalgia
as they wet the sands in part.
Without a care
for the barefoot girl
who walked
alone
under the evening sun.
When the Sun came up or when it went down
Or when the waves were calm
or disgruntled
The sands never shook
under their mighty tirades
Not when the tides were high or even low
They remained steadfast
as they were from days now gone
and will remain the same
for days to come.
